Sad but True

I saw this sign in Roosevelt, UT.

I guess the sun sets on everything, good and bad.

Rockin' down the higway,

It is both sad and true, you are right. Such a dumb decision in the midst of our economic downturn.

For those of you who don't get the sign. Here is a short long story about it. Ken Salazar is Obama's Sec. of the Interior. One of the first things he did was block the legal quarterly sale of mining leases on BLM land in eastern UT. Another thing he did was raise taxes on natural gas extracted from western CO. Both of these things make it less profitable to drill for oil and natural gas in these areas. The entire economy of these areas primarily depends upon oil and natural gas production. Thus, many companies are cutting back and firing people.
